...we're beginning to feel more "at home." The temps are cool (in the 60's) - wish we had packed a few more warmer clothes! There are a few projects Judd & Tim can work on in the print shop while the workers are off for the weekend. I hope to be able to practice with the video camera in preparation for days ahead in Goma. I'm also going to be working on a bit of laundry in preparation for our departure next Tuesday for Rwanda and then Goma. Thankfully there is a normal washing machine here, I'm just trying to figure out the tricks to run it. Being it's a cool, rainy day, the challenge is to get wet clothes hung up inside to dry. Today I'd be battling rain showers trying to get anything to dry hanging outside. That's why I'm preparing in advance for our departure.
A major praise item: It seems that our lack of lodging problem for September 12-30 has been solved. This morning Judd was able to confirm that we will be able to arrive at the Maji Matulivu guest house earlier than October 1. Praise the Lord!! God is so good.
In closing, I have a little experiment for each of you: Tonight, try brushing your teeth with only a bottle of water and a cup - no faucet water! It's also been interesting cooking using only bottled water. Makes you appreciate those little conveniences we take for granted. ;)
Thanks so much for your prayers and your interest. Goodbye for now (Kwa Heri).
Sandi
